Margaret Lillian (Menzie) Nicol, 88, of Hagerstown went to be in the radiant presence of her Lord on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 12, 1925, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert Menzie and Lillian (Cibula) Ramsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. Menzie.
Mrs. Nicol was a homemaker, and a member of Lifehouse Church Bethel and the Hagerstown Women’s Club. She was a former member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club
She is survived by her husband, James W. Nicol; five children, James W. Nicol Jr. and wife, Karin, of Hagerstown, Daniel R. Nicol and wife, Marie, of Falling Waters, W.Va., Sally N. Widmeyer and husband, John, of Hagers-town, Jonathan Nicol and wife, Caroline, of Charleston, W.Va., and Suzy L. Nicol and husband, Mike, of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Curt Snyder officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
