Nancy Moreland Strosnider, 77, of Stephens City, VA died on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at her home.
Nancy was born on December 9, 1936 in Capon Bridge, WV, the daughter of Margaret Morris Moreland of Capon Bridge, WV and the late Wynford V. Moreland. Nancy retired as an Agent from State Farm Insurance having worked for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winchester, VA and graduated from the Capon Bridge High School class of 1954 where she won the 1953 State Champion Apple Pie Contest. Nancy was a volunteer at the Page One Thrift Shop in Luray, VA and during the winter she resided in Sebring, FL for 14 years. She was also a member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club.
Nancy married Ernest J. Strosnider on August 25, 1956 in Capon Bridge, WV.
Surviving with her husband of 58 years and her mother are her children: Dr. Jeffrey C. Strosnider and his wife Paula of Rio Rancho, NM; Judy Webber and her husband Dale of Greencastle, PA; Jason Strosnider and his wife Marci of Chesapeake, VA; her brother: James Moreland; her sisters: Marilyn Conneway and Naomi Strother all of Capon Bridge, WV; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:30 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Warren Brubaker. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery near Gore, VA.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-2:30.
